Banner Photo

It's a slow day with nothing to write about, so I thought I'd brag about the banner photo on the top of this page.

I took that picture. It was at the HAFB air show in 2006. It had rained the day before, so it was unusually humid. The F-22 has some strange tendency to leave trails and generate clouds of vapor wherever it goes.

Now the truth in advertising part: The picture is actually much larger than that, and it has been cropped to remove the yards and yards of blank sky that actually surrounds the aircraft.

But that's my little secret.
